Welcome to Spring Quarter 2008!
 
Geek House information:-   We will run the Geek House Mondays through Fridays. The hours of operation will be posted under "Department News". The lab will open the second week of Winter quarter.  The location in TEC 125.  We have windows, lots of light,  fresh air, elbow room on the tables and good computers.We have Microsoft Office 2007 and several of the  Adobe products!

So just what is this Geek House?  It is a Computing Technology Department open lab. It for students who are learning about computers, networking, web design and business applications to collaborate, study, and get help. This  lab is staffed by Computing Technology students and faculty who have many computing skills and a great interest in helping others.  It is free. 

I f you would like to be a mentor in the Geek House or a tutor for Computing Technology, please email Carol Koepke at ckoepke@sccd.ctc.edu. Include your name, your speciality skills, and the times you would like to work. We would like to open the Geek House for its normal hours starting April 7. we can only do this if the lab is staffed with mentors.

Scheduling:  Sometimes, we find it necessary to relocate a class to a new room, or occasionally we have to cancel as class or make other changes in the schedule such as add a cool new class which is not printed in the official quarterly schedule. In these cases, here is what we do:  We post the information here at www.ssccit.com under the Class Changes in the left column.  We update the information on the www.southseattle.edu website. So the best way for you to stay current is to check these two locations.
